Fiber optic sensor for transformer temperature detection

Abstract The safe and stable operation of the transformer is affected by internal temperature. Therefore, it very necessary to accurately effectively detect temperature winding. To realize effective detection transformer, a fiber optic sensor based on structure multimode (MMF)–no core (NCF)–multimode (MMF) (i.e., MMF–NCF–MMF) studied. sensitivity reaches 0.0313 nm/°C. Moreover, enhance accuracy test, sensitive material polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) coated sensing area (the position NCF), its 0.123 By comparison, was found that increased 3.93 times after coating PDMS. has characteristics simple structure, high sensitivity, integration, which provides research application directions for in field health detection.
